Itsy bitsy Spider???
« on: June 28, 2008, 10:21:43 PM »
The new Golfworld mentions in the equipment section that Justin Rose recently switched to a significantly smaller version of the TM Spider, anybody heard anything relative to an OTR version being made available.  The Spider is way too big for me, but it really does put a smooth roll on the ball and it lines up so easy I think you could do it blindfolded.  A smaller version would be worth looking into.

There are messages on other boards that it is a one-off proto right now.  It was posted that it is 20% smaller but that wasn't confirmed.  I haven't seen any pictures of it other than what was on getty images and that was only a face shot.

Is that the Kia Ma proto or something entirely different?

Kia Ma (K&M Golf, est. 1992) is a Custom puttermaker from which Taylor Made bought his operation.  Kia Ma is the official customizer of all Rossa putters made by Taylor Made, including the Spider.

I'm a huge fan of the Spider putter and it has saved my game without a doubt and pushed me to scratch.

I'll be looking forward to any other offerings in the Spider line.

The Spider is a Fugly thing but I use it as a trainer to keep me on track when I start to get off line

That price is fair.  I haven't seen one in person, but that is tempting.

I work at a local country club and the head pro just got his in the other day and loves it.  I rolled a few putts with it and I liked it a heck of a lot more than the previous, larger version of the Spider.  I think it will become a big hit.

I'd possibly get one with a double bend neck. Our CEO just got one last week. Much better in the smaller version.

I had an Isty Bitsy plumber's neck model in my hand today.  Very nice.  Nearly face balanced.  Now, if there were a way to get rid of the graphics on the top they'd have something...  ;)

I got one new at a very reasonable price and love it. Very hard to get the head offline.

I rolled one today at a pro shop in the city. Like Ben said, it is very hard to get it off line. The grip is kinda small for my liking. It is definitely on my wish list...

Since I am thinking about getting one later on in the year, I was thinking what it would look like if Lamont stripped all the paint off... I will try and photoshop stuff to see what it would look like and post it here tomorrow evening.

I had a few minutes to kill today, so I stopped in a golf shop.  They didn't have the IB Spider, but I made about 15 10 foot putts with a center shafted Spider.  It felt very solid.

I have a regular Spider with a center shaft.  It is a very good putter, and it rolls the ball true.

I just got 2 Itsy bitsy spider center shaft putters today and I am keeping one , I took it out to the Green at the club as soon as it arrived and Wow I really like it. It does not feel face balanced at all but it feels as If I have the best control ever.  These came form the Euro Tour. Very nice

I just realized something... This is my first ever brand new putter. All of my other purchases were used putters...
