Rossa Milled?

Any info?  They have to be working on one since that's what all the other makers have done this past year...

I would be curious to know/find out as well.  Maybe something milled and without an insert....

I doubt it...even the high dollar tour putters by Kia are cast.  The real question is will TM want to produce a putter for that small segment that's already crowded by NC, PING, Odyssey, Titleist, Mizuno, etc.

Funny thing is, the face is milled for an insert.  Presumably for an AGSI insert.

I'd post pics here but they are not mine.  Check them out in this thread.

A bit late on this topic, but wow those milled Rossas look great. Especially the Imola with the little milled pocket.

C,

The X Rossa line was Japan retail. It was released a year before the original US Rossa line was released. The same year the US line got the TPI (insert that felt that it was inflated :) ). There were maybe 6 different models. I had the anser style for a while, but lost it somehow. All heavish heads. The milling is really good. The insert is actually supposedly different from the US titallium? Rossa line. It does feel different. More towards a SS feel than the original Rossa insert.

That is a great looking "normal" design IMO.  It seems less gimicky than the U.S. Rossa offerings :(
It's all made in Cougar Country....Van Wert Steel

i don't think Rossa would want to make a milled putter as that would absolutely go against their whole "our inserts roll the ball better" technique. I think that it would be a HUGE step back for them to come out with a fully milled putter.

:agree: great point :) ... I wonder if they'd do a milled putter with a milled groove insert

don't mean technology but hmm what do i mean... they obviously have technology if they're making inserts... why on earth did i type technology? But i do think they have way too much riding on their little red/yellow grooved inserts to do away with them.

The new Rossa Milled TP by Kia Ma line is coming at the end of Sept and will be 100% milled with NO INSERT. Here are a couple of pics.

GPP has them up on their site.  I am surprised they are $360, I was expecting $299.

The extra $60 is probable in part to cover the extra costs associated with having Kia Ma onboard along with manufacturing costs. The description says it is a 304 Stainless putter with a black finish. I am sure the stainless has increased the cost.

The description also says it has AGSI+ technology insert. Am I missing something or does the insert not go all the way through to the face, is it just "behind" the face insert from the back side?

I think the GPP description is wrong and needs updating.  They were probably in a hurry to be first to get them up.

What is AGSI+
From the TM website.

"AGSI+ technology insert with 14 grooves positioned closer together promote more efficient forward spin for a smoother roll"

I guess I was asking because I did not know if they have putters with ASGI+ that do not have the inserts. If ASGI+ equates to the putter having an insert then description of the new putters to tourspecgolf above also says these putters have inserts because it makes reference to the ASGI+.

Because of the "plate" in the cavity, or what looks like a plate, I thought maybe the insert was put in from the back side and did not go all the way through the face. It was just behind the face a little and that was why you could not see anything that looked like an insert on the face.
