Nubbins

Anyone else ever use one of these?

It was my first Taylor Made putter back in the day, and maybe the last. It was sooo soft you could not tell if you hit the ball or whiffed!

I DID have one.  I still remember I ordered it from Chipshot.com.  Remember them???

Face looked like an old rubber Darryl Dawkins 'Chocolate Thunder' basketball I used to have.

I remember when they first came out, my buddy got one.  It was like putting with an indoor foam practice ball.

I can't believe you all don't like this putter its a great beginner or at least it was for me. I've still got one and its been gamed with my Cameron and my Anser regurally. It does feel soft but the gripping of the ball when it leaves the head really isn't any different then a AGSI to me. Most people I know started with a Putt-Putt mallet anyhow.  Don't Dis the Nubbs.
I need one thats makes'm go in the hole everytime.

Remember selling these back in the day in the late 90's during the golf equipment boom. We sold a TON of them believe it or not.

Wow.  Old thread but a good one!

The Nubbins was my first putter.  I loved that thing!  I never should have gotten rid of it.

I saw Lee Janzen putt with one back in the day.  He used the Inergel ball too.  He is (was?) a club ho.

I work at a golf course in the summer and I see them in bags all the time.  Always felt too soft IMO.
