New DH89X
« on: February 15, 2019, 03:34:01 PM »
In case there is anyone out there.....

Here's a new build DH89 that Byron did for me recently.  Matte blue oil on stainless, hand milled face, 3" pipe neck, simple stampings...  My first rounded bumpers blade putter in a looooong time.

Classic Byron Morgan.

Similarly, I have two solid copper 008X's... one is pristine and minty and the other spends time in my bag. The double bend shaft likely attaches o a nub, as it is a single piece shaft.

And this interesting discussion dwells on the one that is in my bag for periods of time... and it has found a home with me. Apparently the story was it was a gift, then at some point it got sold and the message on the sole was taken off, and it bounced around (figuratively, not literally) but is in great condition. It has a really nice dark patina too...

Thanks, Rob.  It was spec’ed at 1/4 shaft offset.  Sits at pretty close to zero offset when you stand over it, however.  I definitely like them that way.

Hope your big move went well

My sticks are still in the wind I picked up a DH89 glass blast from Olaf to settle me in the mean time.
